The Servo

A Roadside Diner and Service Station

Located on Canberra's Federal Highway the design draws upon the 20th century US automobile culture in creating an homage to the romance of the Highway, with elements inspired by a variety of cultural references including American Graffiti, and the Detroit car designers of the 1950's most notably designer Mr. Terence E. Adderley.

The exterior shell is a curvilinear form built with a molded aluminium frame with exterior cladding draping over the structure.

The interior spaces are reminiscent of a 1950's road side diner complete with finishes such as chequered floor tiles, vinyl upholstered booth seating, bar stools, milkshakes and even a

Jukebox.
