END OF TRIP FACILITY

The brief was to design facilities for University of Canberra staff to store bicycles and to have a place to change and shower after riding their bikes into work. The end-of-trip facility is to include all appropriate amenities for shower and change- rooms.            

 

  All Design recommendations to be made in accordance with the building code of Australia and meet the following standards:

 

AS 1428.2-1998 Design for Access and Mobility.

AS 1428.2-1992 Enhanced and additional requirements - Building and Facilities

AS 1680.1 Interior and Workplace lighting

AS ISO 8930-2005 General Principle on reliability of structures

AS 204 Windows in building - Selection Installation

 

The space should allow for the following activities:

 Shower and toilet amenities

 Change facilities

 Lockable bike storage and associated repair station on and air pump facilities

 Water bottle refill

Optional Breakfast bar
